Mindful Movement for Better Sex

What It Is

This class is a weekly, 60 minute mindful movement class for better sex. It will take place on Tuesdays from 9-10am Pacific on Zoom, and it is for people who identify as women, trans, and/or non-binary.

We’ll be connecting more deeply to our bodies (including our vulvas and other spicy bits!) & our deepest selves through gentle yoga forms, intuitive movement, breath, and thematic exploration — all to build our capacity to have better sex.

Why mindful movement?

When I think about having extraordinary sex, I think about:

Being able to be present in my body and its full spectrum of sensations.

Being able to express my boundaries and my desires and being able to reduce any shame I might feel & be compassionate towards it when it does arise.

Feeling connection with myself and to my partner, feeling comfortable in & accepting of my body, and feeling safe in vulnerability.

There’s no set of steps that will work for everyone…but something that I noticed for myself and with people I’ve worked with over the years is how important it is to bring the body into the work of improving our sex lives.

What We’ll Be Exploring

-the richness & intricacy of our bodies’ sensations

-the experience of having choice & being supported in making those choices

-establishing boundaries

-whole body acceptance & celebration

-reduction of shame around sexuality

-self-compassion

-being seen, valued, and affirmed just as we are

-confidence & courage in our authentic, sexual selves

Class Vibe

The mood of this class is playful & sex-positive, but it is not specifically geared towards cultivating sexy, sensual, or erotic energy (although that is completely welcome if it arises during your practice!)…you’re welcome to come exactly as you are on that day and to feel whatever comes up for you.
